Dessert: Arance con il Passito e le fave di cacao

(= Oranges with Passito and Cocoa Beans)

Recommended wine: Passito I.G.T.

Arance con il Passito e le fave di cacao Ingredients for 4 people: 3 untreated oranges 10 g raisins ½ glass Passito ½ tsp cinnamon 1 tbsp Miele di Millefiori (Wildflower Honey) 8 cocoa beans 1 sprig of thyme 1 pinch of salt

Put the raisins in the Passito and leave them to soak for about 10 minutes. In the meanwhile, wash the oranges, cut them into thin slices and arrange them on a serving dish, overlapping slightly. Sprinkle them with salt, thyme leaves and the raisins (after squeezing them well and setting aside the Passito) and put the dish in the fridge. In a heavy-bottomed frying pan, over a low flame, heat the Passito with the honey and cinnamon. Stir, and when the mixture becomes a smooth sauce, drizzle it over the slices of orange. Now sprinkle with the cocoa beans, which you have peeled and coarsely chopped. And there you have it, a dessert that will amaze and impress your guests!
